If you really want broccoli or cauliflower cooked soft through can blanch in microwave for 4 minutes before adding to pan. (Cover with water in pyrex and hit 4, drain well)
Heat olive oil, saute any combo of veggies, onions, saute a few minutes then add the larger, after a bit add the smaller.
Add a handful of greens at the end and mix in and allow to wilt a bit.
Add a dash of hot red pepper flakes or curry or turmeric.
